West Bengal 12th Board Exam 2020 from June 29 for remaining papers
West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, WBCHSE, will be conducting the remaining Class 12 exams from June 29 this year. The West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee on May 19, announced the dates for the remaining exams for  West Bengal Board class 12 state boards exams. The timetable for the exams has not been released yet but is expected to be available soon on the official website wbchse.nic.in.

The exams were postponed in the state due to the pandemic and the national lockdown imposed all over the country following that. The dates for the exams now are declared, which would commence from June 29. The schedule for the Board exams ends on July 6, 2020.
The minister also informed that all safety precautions regarding COVID-19, including social distancing norms, would be ensured during the conduct of exams. The higher secondary exams for most subjects have been conducted from March 13 to 21, 2020. The examinations for the subjects that were scheduled on March 23, 25 and 27 were postponed.
The subjects for which the exams were postponed are Physics, Nutrition, Education, Accountancy, Chemistry, Economics, Journalism, Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, French, Statistics, Geography, Costing and Taxation, Home Management and Family Resource Management. The dates and the detailed schedule would soon be released.

A senior official of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, when asked on the same, said that they were yet to receive any official confirmation from the government on the issue the exams. "Once we get the notice, we can tell you," the official said when inquired by a leading news agency.
Parth Chatterjee on the way the exams would be conducted informed that only 80 to 100 candidates would be accommodated in a single exam centre. There will be about  2,500 centres in which over two lakh students would write the papers on each of the three scheduled days. The subjects wise date calendar would be notified soon.
