Probe against IC,Darjeeling for abusing family members of dire consequence

Darjeeling, Mar 14 (UNI) Darjeeling's superintendent of police Akhilesh Chaturvedi today said that a probe, both departmental and CID, was ordered to verify if Darjeeling sadar IC Soumyajit Roy allegedly abused a family of Lebong to exterminate them by burning down the houses in the area.

The IS allegedly told Achutam Bhattarai that he would not only burn down their home but also rape his mom and sister before killing them.

SP Akhilesh Chaturvedi told media today that he had received an audio tape regarding the abusive language of the police officer and asked a probe by a SP rank officer as well as by the CID.

He said the if anyone is found guilty, both departmental and as well as legal proceeding would be taken for stern punitive action.
Darjeeling MP SS Aluwalia, however, demanded for an NIA probe into the alleged abusive language of the police officer.
