Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia on Sunday met Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama in Delhi and said it was a "dream come true and a blessing".
According to a release issued by the Delhi Government, the spiritual leader greeted and blessed Kejriwal and Sisodia over their landslide victory in the assembly polls here and also appreciated the AAP Government's stand on corruption.
"I very much appreciate your stand on corruption, it's a kind of violence and must be done away with," the Dalai Lama was quoted as saying in the release.
The statement said several issues including peace, social fabric, harmony and social evils were also discussed during the meeting.
It added the spiritual leader talked of his relationship with India and said he is an "Indian" to which Sisodia replied, "and every Indian loves you". He said India should lead in religious harmony initiative to the rest of the World.
Sharing views on the state of affairs in several parts of the world, the release quoted the Dalai Lama saying he was quite concerned over violence and terrorism in several pockets of the world and these problems can be solved only through harmony and peaceful manner. PTI
