Bijanbari Railway Ticketing Agency to Shuts Down

Bijanbari Railway Ticketing Agency to Shuts Down
The Bijanbari based railway ticketing out agency is shutting down from today, leaving the people in the region without any alternative to booking their tickets from.

The our agency was established in 1997 and shockingly enough the Jalpaiguri Division of Indian Railways shut down the railway property and sealed it, and not only that, but they also took the moveable assets down to Jalpaiguri.

The out agency has been helping the people from this far-flung region to get 118 Sleeper, 60 AC III, and 35 AC – II tickets everyday under reserved quota in certain trains, which helped the people to travel to places like Kolkata and Delhi.

However with the agency closing down, people will now have to travel to Darjeeling to book their tickets, and given the rush that people have to face while booking the tickets from Darjeeling, locals are very unhappy with this unilateral decision taken by the railways.

The GJM has apparently written to the Railway Minister and Director General of Railways and requested them to restart the ticketing agency at the earliest.
