GTA chief and the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) president Bimal Gurung along with three other Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) members are heading for Kathmandu, Nepal today to offer special prayers at Pashupati, Manokamana and the Gueshwari Temple.
GTA members Roshan Giri, Arun Sigchi and Anit Thapa will accompany Gurung. “The visit is personal and we don’t intend to meet any government officials of Nepal, we are only going to offer prayers at Pasuphati, Manokamana and Gueshwari before the festival sets in”, said Arun Sigchi, GTA member from Mirik.
He also said that all four of them had earlier kept a promise ‘Bhakal’ to visit these temples and this being the holy week of Navratra prompted the visit to offer prayers to the Gods.
Gurung along with the three GTA members boarded a Kathmandu bound flight from Bagdogra this afternoon. (EOIC)
