Bimal Gurung expresses grief on youth leader Bishal Khambu Rai's death

Several organizations and individuals including the GJMM and the GTA chief, Bimal Gurung has also paid condolence and expressed grief following the sudden demise of GJMM youth leader Bishal Khambu Rai.
Talking to the reporters, over phone, Mr Gurung said that on my own behalf and on behalf of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha he expressed his heartfelt grief on the sad demise of youth leader from Kurseong, Bishal  Khambu Rai.
He also said that Bishal was a popular and respected youth leader in the Hills and his demise is a great loss to the party and especially for the Khambu Rai community as he worked tirelessly to work for the betterment of his community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family he added.
The GTA executive member, Anit Thapa who is also in Nepal along with Gurung for the past few days due to their pilgrimage visit said that the demise of Bishal is a huge loss to Darjeeling Hills but greater to Kurseong as he was a very popular leader among the youths here. He was also a great asset to the GJMM Delhi unit while he was there.
Notably Bishal Rai got his education in Kurseong and after his venture outside the region especially in Delhi he had been working as a teacher for the past three years at the Pushparani Roy memorial High School, Kurseong.
It was learnt that four days ago he had been admitted at a nursing home in Siliguri due to severe headache and sickness. Only yesterday he was shifted to another nursing home in the ICU unit. Today evening at around 5:30 he breathed his last. He was 36 years old. The causes of his death has been said to be a bite by a microscopic insect which is also called Scrub Typhus.
The causes of death by such insect bites have been from time to time reported from the Hill region. The insect is said to be found among mice that frequent jhoras and nalas.
